Snow flake

Today we made a snow flake it was fun because I had to experiment with it even though it took me forever to find out how to cut on a device. After a while I finally achieved my goal to finish my snowflake.

Today we careered on with our reading for information reports .

After re crafting, proof reading, editing ,feedback,

getting other people to read it.

Did you know we spend one third of our lives sleeping?

If you spent one third of your life sleeping if you were nine you would spend three years worth of sleeping, and that's a lot of sleep. If you did spend three years worth of sleeping, imagine how  many dreams you would have. Did you know each night sometimes we are in a deep sleep and move into a lighter sleep, and that's when you dream.

People are not getting enough sleep. If you don’t get enough sleep it can affect your learning of solving problems,remembering things and making you grumpy which can affect others so make sure you get enough sleep.

Babies should have 12-15 hours sleep    School kids should have 9-11 hours sleep

Adults should have 7-9 hours sleep

Do you know that there is a body clock inside you?

Well not a real clock, but a part of your body keeps track of the 24 hour day and night. which means it will make sure you sleep at night and stay awake in the day.Did you know that everyone has a different body clock? It depends on what time you normally go to bed and when you normally wake up.

Do you know you can see if someone's dreaming?

Instead of sticking something into there brain to see if they are dreaming there is another way. All you have to do is look closely at their eyelids and if they are dreaming  their eyes move from side to side very fast under their eyelids.

Now you know a little bit more about sleep you can tell that it is important, with sleep it can make a big difference so you make sure you get enough sleep.

Coordinates

Yesterday Miss McLeod introduced us to coordinates. Coordinates means it on a grid and it is a place on the grid on the side on the lines is numbers going up and numbers going across the bottom across is called x axis

and going up is y axis. Then you have to try and find where the coordinates for where the picture is.

when we worked on this Miss McLeod gave us a slide to work on.

Calendar Art 2016

It was Tuesday and we had started art. We got to pick out of five different options of calendar art I picked the black and white one with the colors on. When went to the classroom we were doing it in we talked to a buddy about what we could do. Then with our buddy we got given a paint brush and then we got an iPad to take the photo. When we took the photo we could chose if we wounded to stand on a stool or a box I didn't need to use any of them because I could just stand up. Once we took our photo we had to take a photo for our buddy when you took your photo you  had to be holding the paintbrush so it  looked like you were painting. Once we were finished we printed the photo  in black and white. After the photo was printed we got one of the copies and we drew on what we were going to paint on  with crayons. After we showed the teacher we painted on the things we had just drew after we had finished. Here  is my calendar art  for 2016

Today at school with Mr Madren we were improving comments from other people.  what we did was we found a bad comment  then pasted it onto this then improved it.This is my improved comment that i did with Mr Madren. 

Wow that was amazing  i'm sure that will inspire people. I liked the way you used images to explain and had it displayed nicely in different places and not all bunched up. Next time maybe you could try adding more color and have a Screencastify of you reading through it..

The Land Of Smarti

Yesterday Mrs raisin gave a problem about being traders and trying to trade milk with the people of smati  for there magical potion making you know all of your times tables and division. But the people of smati
didn't use liters or milleletres they used sloshes dribbles and plops.  So we had to try and fugue out what sloshes dribbles and plops mean.
1 dribble is 50ml
1 plop is 250ml
1 slosh is 1.25L
After that we created labels for our milk to explain how much 2 liters is in smati here is my label that i made

How to play the sport:

How to play is there are 2 towers on each side with a rail going down and at the bottom is a rail wall between each tower. You have to try and shoot each other to get to the other tower to get the stash of weapon/paint ball guns to be able to shoot the rest of the other team.

Aim of the game:
The aim of the game is to try and get everyone shot with the paint ball guns.

The rules:
You are not aloud to bump any one
Not aloud to break any thing

Fun Raise

How could you help fun raise for the Olympic teams to fly to Rio DE janero . 

I would put up posters to encourage other people to saport the Olympic teams to fly to Rio. 

I would  also have a big market where you brig lots of your old books,toys and any thing like that. The money will go towards the  the fun raiser.

Who Would You Choose

If you could choose someone that you know to be your  partner for cycling who would you choose.




I would choose Alanah because she always finds a way to make every thing fun and she makes me laugh about every thing and I find that very encouraging. Also I would pick her because when ever I go over she is always biking.

Andrea Kilday

If I got to chose out of those three athletes I  would pick Andrea kilday because she comes from Christchurch like I do. she also dose Taekwondo which I love doing with my sister.

And Andrea won New Zealand's first and only Pacific games gold medal in all the sports in Port Moresby.

Hamish Bond

Hamish Bond 

Hamish bond is a Olympic champion for rowing. In rowing his partner is Eric murry.  The pair remain unbeaten  since 2009 .Hamish and Eric hold the worlds best time in rowing (6:80.50) which was set at  London Olympics 2012.

 Hamish was born in Dunedin and first started rowing at Otago Boys High School.

Now Hamish rows for North End Rowing Club. out side of rowing Hamish is talented for cycling as well.

In the Olympics there is a thing called fencing. Fencing is were you wear these suits and you get a long arrow/stick with sharp ends. The aim of the game is to try and stab the person. 
But no one gets hurt because you have the suits but it dose feel weird when they stab the suit.

My teacher is a dragon.stomping through the classrooms yelling hearing a single sound. mary cluttered  as my teacher  stamped through.Their school was a prison to them never any fun just silence the only fun was computer time but The computers at school where dinosaurs never working but making jokes.

.lunchtime bell rang teacher yells room 8 sit down in silence. room 8 is a disaster arena  but Time is money.

Bell rings again story time as mrs jumping read out loud her words were cotton candy as Her long hair was a flowing golden river.

It started to snow The snow is a white blanket on the solid ground.
