Calendar Art

This past week we have been creating our calendar art.We had three choices one was to draw lots of harts or do a koru and finally we had the City Scape and I chose the City Scape. Our first step was to draw a grid and then on the grid we drew a City Scape. Soon after we painted the buildings each building was a different color but the boxes inside the building were the same color but a different shade, and for the sky we did lots of different shade of blue. our last step was to out line the buildings with a vivid and draw windows and doors.Here is my masterpiece.

Rainy Day

WALT : To use crayon and dye to show movement and ripples in a weather feature.

On Monday we made a piece of art showing a rainy day.  First we drew the rain and the puddles then if we wanted to we could draw a rainbow but we had to draw it dark so that the dye would go over it. 

Then we dyed it three different types of colors Grey,Dark Blue,Light Blue. We put each color in patches so that it looked like clouds.

Penguin art

WALT: To use paint to create the effect of the feathers.

A couple of weeks ago we made penguins.  

We did our penguins in steps our first step was to sketch a penguin, our second step we painted our penguin black. Our next step was to paint  the orange and yellow then we painted our white. Our final step was to do the gray and the green eye.

Calendar Art 2016

It was Tuesday and we had started art. We got to pick out of five different options of calendar art I picked the black and white one with the colors on. When went to the classroom we were doing it in we talked to a buddy about what we could do. Then with our buddy we got given a paint brush and then we got an iPad to take the photo. When we took the photo we could chose if we wounded to stand on a stool or a box I didn't need to use any of them because I could just stand up. Once we took our photo we had to take a photo for our buddy when you took your photo you  had to be holding the paintbrush so it  looked like you were painting. Once we were finished we printed the photo  in black and white. After the photo was printed we got one of the copies and we drew on what we were going to paint on  with crayons. After we showed the teacher we painted on the things we had just drew after we had finished. Here  is my calendar art  for 2016
