Rainy Day

WALT : To use crayon and dye to show movement and ripples in a weather feature.
On Monday we made a piece of art showing a rainy day.  First we drew the rain and the puddles then if we wanted to we could draw a rainbow but we had to draw it dark so that the dye would go over it.
Then we dyed it three different types of colors Grey,Dark Blue,Light Blue. We put each color in patches so that it looked like clouds.

  2. Hi Lucy, nice work on your picture. I really like the puddles. I think that you did a great job on the rainbow. Next time you could put swirls on both sides to make it more even. Keep up the good work.

  5. Hi Lucy,
I'm Deakyn and I'm from Awahono School. I enjoyed reading the steps of how you drew your cool picture. How long did it take you to draw the picture and did you copy it from something? I really liked how you made puddles for the detail and explained the steps. The part I liked most was the weather, the rain and the rainbow. The clouds made me think of a giant thunder storm and a flood in the forest. Maybe next time you could say why the rainbow was there without a part of the sun. Have you thought about putting in a setting of where it was, like in the forest or a lake? I hope you can visit my blog and check it out. Copy this link and put it in the google bar. http://awahonodeakynh.blogspot.co.nz/
