Voice Instrument Study!

My Favourite Singer!

I like ed Sheeran because he sings in a range of genres and ranges, for example, he raps in some of his songs. His songs have the guitar in them and his songs are always cool! 

What are the four different voice types? And how are they different from each other??
Soprano, Alto, Tenor, and bass. Voice types are classified according to the range, gender, and pitch. 

What does the word acapella mean? 
The word acapella means Means making the song with your voices, aka replacing instruments with your voices. 

What is a vocal warm-up? And why is it important?
A vocal warm-up is a series of exercises meant to prepare your voice for singing! It is very important to do a vocal warm-up as it stretches your vocal chords and clears your throat and helps with breathing.   

What is a vocal range?
Vocal range is the range of pitches a voice can sing. (High and Low) 

Find 5 singers and find out what their range is!

1. Taylor Swift - 2 octaves and four notes. 
2. Beyonce- 3 octaves and 1 note. 
3. Katy Perry- 3 octaves and 3 notes 
4. Lorde- 3 octaves 
5. Shawn Mendes - F2 - A5

Fact 2 - His parents were Italian immigrants 
Fact 3 - He was a close friend of John F. Kennedy 

Maisy Rika-

Fact 1- She is a Maori singer and songwriter.  
Fact 2- She has one of New Zealand’s most impressive lead vocal voice. 

Fact 3- Maisy began singing on stage at the early age of 13.
