The Strength of roots

For the past week we have been reading the strength of roots by Marisa Maepu  and For this book I decided to create a stop motion of what the story was about but here is a small explanation of what happens in the story.
A boy was walking around in the forest in Samoa when the ground began to shake but after that he started to head back home but before he could he got knocked over by a tsunami and as he was in the tsunami he managed to hold onto a big tree. After that he woke up jammed between branches of a big tree and he was at the top. He looked down to see rescuers but couldn’t speak because of the salt water he swallowed. Finally a branch snaps and a rescuer finds him and gets him down and helps him but then he leaves to find his family. Here is the stop motion that I created.

  1. the stop-motion was awesome I don't think I need to read the book you told me so much info. but in the stop-motion you shock the camera to much. hopefully in the future you can hold the camera still.

  2. Namaste Lucy!
First of all I liked how you choose to do stop-motion instead of boring slides and etc. Secondly, I found that you have a lot's of an interesting words that you used. Lastly, Next time make sure you take a straight picture.

  4. Hi Lucy, I really enjoyed watching the stop motion that you created it was very creative. You also used a lot of interesting words. Maybe next time you could make your picture straight in your stop motion.

  5. Hello Lucy,Vin here
Good amount of information and also good that you added that stop motion. But you don't have to describe every little thing that happens because instead of noting every little thing, add more info.

    Bye!
