For four weeks I am Going to be doing the summer learning journey about the history of New Zealand. This is the second week of my journey and the sixth day.
Activity One
For this activity we have to watch a silent film called The lions cage and try and try and figure it out what it is about.
I think this is about charlie Chaplin walks into the lions cage and accidentally locks himself in then he has to try and get out without waking the lion.
Activity two
For this activity we have to rate a Art Deco picture out of five and we have to give a reason why we gave that rating.
For me it would be a 5 because it is a such a textured picture
and it has a beautiful shading and detail along with it. Also the way they made the car look so shinny
was amazing.
Bonus Activity
For this activity we have to write a poem imagining that you have just landed after a long 14 hour trip across the Tasman.
T hank god we are back
A cross the Tasman we flew
S till shook from our long adventure
M y its good to see land again
A lthough I don't regret my decision of coming here
N ever again shall this happen
Kia Ora Lucy,
ReplyDeleteIt's Georgia here from the Summer Learning Journey. It's awesome to see the effort you're putting into each activity.
I like the painting as well and think you've described its features perfectly. Have you heard of Hundertwasser before? He is a very famous artist who designed a block of public toilets in Kawakawa, which is very close to where I live. Many tourists travel to Kawakawa just to see the toilets and take photos infront of them. Here's a link if you'd like to see what they look like: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hundertwasser_Toilets
I like that you did an acrostic poem, what a creative way to design your activity and such great words you've used too. Ka pai! Did you learn how to write acrostic poems at school?
Keep up the great posts and I'm looking forward to seeing what other activities you complete soon.
Nga mihi
