The hardest part of this lesson was trying to find an appropriate song with useable dance moves and creating a story for them in the time we had. This was really fun, even though I'm not the biggest fan of tik tok, learning the dances and creating a story was a refreshing change to what we usually do.
I am a student at in Uru Mānuka. In 2020 I was a year 9 and in 2021 I will be a year 10. This is a place where I will be able to share my learning with you. Please note....some work won't be edited - just my first drafts, so there may be some surface errors. I would love your feedback, comments, thoughts and ideas.

Telling a story with dance
Today in drama we had to tell a story using a dance from tik tok. After choosing our dance we turned it into a story about a girl who is going on a date with a guy but the guy shows up late and they end up getting into a fight while on the date. During the performance, we used each of the dance moves from tik tok as our fighting moves. We started off with choosing a song that we thought was appropriate and had cool dance moves to it, afterward we took inspiration from the moves to create the story, while also including the dance moves into the performance smoothly yet noticeable.
