DodgeBall Research

The past few weeks I have been working on researching about Dodgeball, how to play?, The Object of the game, how to score?, and what equipment you will need to play. I Filled out a template explaining the rules of dodgeball as well as how to play ect.

Dodgeball Rules
Written by: Lucy

Object

The object of the game is to throw the ball to try and get people on the opposite team out. You also have to dodge the balls that people throw at you so that you won’t get out.

Players

You need at least four people to play so you can slit the number and make two equal teams, otherwise you can have as many people as you want.

Equipment

The equipment you need is:
  • 3-10 balls or more (depends on the amount of players)
  • And a large flat space.

Scoring

In Dodgeball the way to score is to get someone out and you can get someone out by either catching the ball on the fall when they throw it,and you can also get them out if you throw the ball and it hits them from the shoulders down.

Winning

The way to win is to get all of the members of the other team out or to get get most of them out so that you have more players left then the other team.

Rules

  • If you get hit by the ball you must go to the other end of the playing field.

  • If you get out and catch the ball that was thrown by your team when you are at the opposite side you are back in and can keep playing.

  • If you throw the ball and someone catches it you are out and have to go to the other end of the playing field.

  • You can't kick the ball to try get someone out.

  • You can’t cross the line separating the two teams

  • If you are out and catch the all you have to return to your side of the field.

  • If you throw the ball when you are over the line you are out.

Tane Mahuta

Today we started CIP (Community Impact Projects)everyone got split into two main groups and i am in the group Tane Mahuta. Our job is to Clean and look after the school. Today we walked around areas of the school and got ideas of what we could do to make the place better for people to sit and play around in. My favourite area in the school is at the back of the field because because is quieter and there is a great place where you can sit in the shade if it gets to hot. After we walked around the school we came back and brainstorm some ideas of what we could create. My best idea is to improve the school is to create more fun seating areas and create more shady areas.

FACTS:

1. They can only be seen living in the North West Coast of the central and upper North Island areas.

5.The Māui Dolphin is only found in New Zealand And in a few parts of Australia.

6.In some rare cases The Māui Dolphin can be born in a extremely dark shade of green.

Day 3 Taking Action Activity 1 SLJ

Activity 1
For this activity we have to watch three videos and then pick wich one we liked the most and why?

Predator Free Video #1: Cacophony Project
Predator Free Video #2: Taranaki Mounga Project
Predator Free Video #3: Zero Invasive Predators (ZIP)
My favourite video was the first video the Cacophony Project . I liked this video the most because they were using technology to create better traps and Sound systems to try and decrease how many possums there were to help protect the native birds. The best thing about this project is anyone can use the idea and then make it 2x better than it already is.

Day 2 Protect Our Own Activity 3 SLJ

Activity 3
For this activity we have to decide what project we find the most interesting and why.

The most interesting project to me was conserving the Tonkin snub-nosed monkey in Vietnam. When i was looking through all the projects they had done or are still doing and this on caught my because the monkey is so cute and they they had big pink lips and their face looked like a person.I also found this project interesting because even though they the Tonkin snub-nosed monkey is still listed as one of the 25 most endangered primates in the world. Though the project was successful and the population has increased by 75%.
